Stand up for better protection against toxic pesticides
The European Commission plans to water down protection of health and environment and give an easier pass for toxic pesticides. If many citizens contact the commissioners and ask them to remove the most damaging rollbacks of our protection, we might be able to change the final document that will be released mid-december.
They call it “simplification” or “cutting red tape”. In truth it is giving in to the chemical industry and dismantle protection of health and environment. It is a move back in time, in the wrong direction. We need better protection to move away from the old chemical age towards a new modern toxicfree agriculture.
