Move to a healthy and biodiverse era
The EU is planning a dangerous shift away from science in favour of the chemical industry. Weakening the pesticide law will take us back to pre- Rachel Carson times. This is a huge threat to our health and biodiversity. A dangerous move to keep a toxic status quo, instead of a move forward. It should not only be stopped, we need a shift into another direction for farmers and citizens, to a new healthy and biodiverse pesticide free era.
We are calling on you to rally with us and say End the Toxic Pesticide era
Every voice matters. Write to your Commissioner to block these changes and shift the focus to ban harmful pesticides.
Why
Pesticides are very harmful to health and biodiversity. Almost every week new problems pop up. We have lost ¾ of the insect populations, we face a Parkinson’s epidemia, cancer and many other diseases are on the rise, neurotoxicity, effects on our gut microbiome and immune system are not tested and the authorities have not even started to assess the effect of the cocktail of pesticides (and other chemicals) we’re exposed to. The chemical rat is no solution for farmers: pests develop resistance and health and biodiversity suffer. Time to stop this.
Yes we can – and we have to
We can move away from the outdated chemical era based on fossil fuel where we poisoned the world, depleted resources, downgraded landscapes and exploited farmers to feed it. We have the means and agronomic practices to move towards an advanced and sustainable era, where we work with nature and reward farmers for creating healthy food and a pleasant landscape.
